About Shin Restaurant

Located at 2838 E Pacific Coast Hwy, Long Beach, CA 90804, Shin Restaurant operates as an asian fusion serving Long Beach in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Long Beach, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (562) 498-4949. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is order.online, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 301 reviews, which is a strong result for an asian fusion in Long Beach and suggests consistent service.

Long Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Long Beach is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I visited Shin on one of Long Beach's rare rainy days. It was a delightful, cozy solo lunch trip. I got the small ramen special and a hot tea, since I just needed a little pick me up. Both were nice. I didn't catch the name of the *secret menu* ramen the waitress mentioned but it notably featured black pepper and a miso broth. Savory and packed with umami, it was just what my bones needed on this rainy little day. The atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy. Dim lighting and comfy seating. I wish the rain hadn't soaked the patio, because it seems like a nice spot to enjoy a casual lunch and watch the rain drops fall otherwise. They had several good deals, including the small soup for less than 10 dollars that I ordered. Generous happy hour and what appeared to be some very nice sushi specials. Shin seems like a perfect place to sit, relax and enjoy a nice slow lunch.

I honestly have not been at this location since it was Thai food many moons ago. I attended a baby shower happy hour here and the food was delicious. The pricing made it even better. Happy hour pricing and selection of rolls makes this a favorite spot for some of my co-workers. I agree! I ordered two rolls and couldn't finish them. The happy hour rolls are full size rolls and proportional fish to rice ratio. Fish was fresh and tasty. Also indulged in some soju. Limited selection of flavors, but they're available.

thai coconut in ramen; the tom kha ramen had a rich, nutty-umami broth, with a cut of creamy-freshness from the coconut, made it an oddly tasty mix. toppings are varied but fairly basic, a chashu over the plain chicken would've been nicer but the spicy sauce and extra greens help lift it. large noodle portion too, making it quite the stellar cost-effective pit stop 🀌

My husband and I found this place randomly driving to our hotel in the area and we were so happy to have found this place. Happy hour is from 3pm-7pm every day. We were happy with the service and the food. It was so delicious! We will definitely visit again if and when in the area.
